How To Get Away With Murder

I wish I knew how it has been possible for me to sleep on this show for so long. When I first saw the announcement for it last year when ABC were selecting their new shows, it instantly appealed to me. The annoying thing about upfront is, every year I go through the list of new shows and find a veritable cornucopia of new viewing material for the next TV season, which I promptly forget about in the coming months.

But in this instance, my annual TV memory lapse has been something of a blessing. There's something very cathartic about being able to fly through a show with no wait between episodes. With the season having already ended, in the last week I have zipped through How To Get Away With Murder without looking back. With it's pacy editing and cutthroat storyline, the show read more like a film than a series of episodes.

Well cast and well orchestrated, it is easily one of the most engaging pieces of television I have ever watched. The performance given by Viola Davis is just incredible and is surely in need of some kind of award based recognition.
